Before the radon membrane could be fitted, we needed to build the various branches of the soil system ready to be fitted on top. This involved a lot of measuring, sawing, filing, cleaning and lubricating bits of PVC pipe.
This then had to be worked into the installation of the radon barrier such that it was fully sealed where the pipe penetrated the membrane. The radon barrier is a thick damp-proof membrane substitute that stops radon gas as well as moisture.
