Both of the next jobs to be done require mortar, so need the temperatures to be a bit warmer for it to cure properly. Today, Thomas’s dad came and helped Thomas to cut the ridge tiles ready to be mortared on next time it’s warm enough. Then (after a bit of head-scratching, drawing consultation, and planning with Bridget) Thomas marked out the dwarf wall onto which the bathroom partition wall will be built. While this is an internal wall by design, it will in the short term be weatherproofed in order to close off the half-built phase 1 extension.
